One of the main things I wanted to see when I visited Scotland was the Loch Ness Monster.  Do you believe that it's a real thing?  

Below is the photo I personally took of the Loch Ness Monster during a visit to Scotland a few years ago. It's real!  Well, it's real concrete anyway, hahaha, a concrete replica of the infamous monster at a gift shop near the town and the lake.

Legend has it that the Loch Ness Monster was first spotted around 1933, well maybe not first-spotted but it gained worldwide attention around that time.  Its nickname is "Nessie."  There have been similar types of creatures spotted in other lakes in and around Scotland as well.

Did you know that there was even a Loch Ness Phenomena Investigation Bureau for ten years from 1962-1972 where people formed groups and set up around the lake to try to capture photos of the elusive beast?
