Matilda looks are so unique they have her an Internet star, amassing 34,000 Instragam followers.
 
Her profile page plays up to her out-of-this-world looks, and reads: “I am a visitor here. Pay attention to me.

Matilda actually suffers from a rare condition called lens luxation, that causes her eye lenses to spontaneously detach and has now left her blind.

But the cat is not in pain, according to her owners, and her website details what life is like for her.
 
Born on Valentine’s Day in 2013, Matilda was taken to vets for months after her pupils regularly enlarged.

It was later discovered that two others in her litter suffered the same condition and Matilda’s owners decided not to put her through surgery.
 
The website states: “She became withdrawn and sad for a couple of days and her servants were extremely worried.

“They used the eyedrops that the veterinary ophthalmologist had prescribed to reduce pressure and pain, which Matilda hated, but they kept at it. After two days she came around, and became her regular self again.
 
“Those days were the hardest ones! It has been life as usual since then.”

Her owners added: ”No matter what happens, her servants think she's perfect and beautiful and will love and care for her the absolute best way that they can for however long this little alien is here.”
 
Matilda can count us as her humble servants.
