It's been over 30 years since the release of MS-DOS, an operating system for computers that gained fame in the 1980s, but the geeks of the time still remember with a certain longing. Perhaps thinking about this, The Internet Archive, a digital library, started in 2013 storing hundreds of video games these years so people could enjoy them for free.
Finally, in the last months of 2014, the library got his greatest achievement: 2334 gathering MS-DOS games that can shoot from the browser.
If you grew up playing Dune or Prince of Persia, you can relive this time thanks to The Internet Archive. The DOSBox emulator used by this library will let you play without downloading virulent programs on your computer or have an endless data record, so all you have to do is pick a game and start to play from your browser.
Prince of Persia
The Internet Archive was born 17 years ago and in that time has tried to facilitate access to information in the world. Historic web, movies, books and music sites comprise this website.
The creators recognize that some games may contain errors or failures, so expect the same users provide feedback page while having a good time. It should be noticed that games do not come with instructions, so if you have not played before these relics have to throw no chance of saving progress, but ultimately, that's where the excitement is.
