Weddings, Baby Showers, Bridal Showers and Bacheleor/Bachelorette Parties

Posted on at

When you reach your late 20s, it seems that every other weekend you have to attend a wedding, baby shower, bridal shower or a bachelorette/bachelor party. Yes we know what you are thinking, these are all GOOD things, but then why are they so annoying? We dread going to the event and buying a gift, but then when we are there we have fun. It seems that its the pressure and the mandatory attendance at these events that are stressful. These are very important events in someone's life, and that someone really wants you to share it with them. Even if you haven't been the one who can celebrate these events, you more than likely will be one day- so you need to pull through, and purchase the gifts and attend the parties. I remember leaving my bridal shower with a truckload of gifts, and I thought "wow- I hit the jackpot! it's all free" but as the parties went on and I shell out money if I go or not, I realize that little by little I am paying for all that "free stuff" i got at my shower! Attached is a picture from my shower with my bridesmaid and cohost Jeannine helping out.
