WHAT IS COLIFORM

The word coliform is derived from a word colon. The colon is a large intestine and those bacteria which are present in colon so it is called coliform and it is excreated from body.The coliforms are the normal flora of the body but some times it act as a opportunistic bacteria when some one infect the colon with another bacteria so it is act as a opportunistic bacteria. The major coliform bacteria is Escherichia coli.
