Isn’t this question on everybody’s mind? After all, what is the secret of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s success? Well, a Chhattisgarh-based student got lucky when Modi himself answered the question almost everybody wanted to know. Interacting with students at Education City at Jawanga in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, a curious student asked the question which millions have to yearned to ask the 64-year-old Prime Minister. The question was, “What is the secret of your success? Whom do you credit your success to?” Here is what Modi replied:

“Life shouldn’t be measured in the scales of success and failures. The day when we calculate our success and failures, disappointments set in. Our efforts should be to work towards a goal in our mind. One may have to face hurdles and take a step back or two, but if you keep your goal ahead of yourself, then these talks (success & failures) are of no consequence. The number of successes (excellence) one achieves in their life shouldn’t be measured on the scales of success and failures. But one should learn a lot from their mistakes. People don’t succeed because they don’t learn anything from their mistakes. The knowledge we derive from our failures, is always more than what our successes have taught us.”

Sharing his life experiences on the topic of success and failures, Narendra Modi said, “My life is such that I have to face failures and negatives every now and then. Neither I measure my success, nor I do work with the motive of succeeding. My ambition of life is to attain one goal, i.e. Bharat Mata Ki Seva (to serve Mother India), serving the 125 crore populous country. Success and failures are part and parcel of life, but I do keep try to learn from my mistakes and failures.

PM Narendra Modi’s visit in the Naxal affected region will see two mega-developmental projects being inaugurated in the state. Along with Modi, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh, Union Minister of Railway Suresh Prabhu, Union Minister of Steel and Mines Narendra Singh Thakur, Minister of State for Steel and Mines Vishnu Deo Sai will also be present at the foundation stone-laying event in Dantewada.
