What the Hell, Handler?

The above pic is seemingly innocuous ... being that it's the remnants of a really juicy-looking pomegranate, and how can that be harmful?

Well, if you're Chelsea Handler and have the tact of a category 5 hurricane, then yeah -- it's pretty easy to offend with a broken pomegranate.

Yesterday, if you were unaware, was "Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day," which is apparently a thing, and Handler shared the above image with the caption "It’s impossible to enjoy eating a pomegranate when the end result is this. #miscarriage. #cleaningupforyourcleaninglady."

After several irate commenters pointed out Chelsea's huge snafu, she pulled the #miscarriage hashtag off, but the photo remained. In response to the backlash, she later shared, "There's a thing called national miscarriage day????? I am just reading about myself online. I did not remove a hashtag. My asst does that when I do something bad. Me having a pomegranate and infant loss are not directly related."

Frightening how insensitive some people can be sometimes, you know? Even if she didn't know that it was "Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day" -- I mean, we didn't -- using the term "miscarriage" to describe that mess is stupid at best, and heartless at worst
