More than 8,000 human-resources executives and IT experts got together in Las Vegas last week for a glimpse at the future of HR.

Got a bachelor’s degree? It should be easier to find a job this year.

Hiring for people with bachelor’s degrees will increase by 16% in the 2014-15 academic year, according to a recruiting trends survey from Michigan State University. The report surveyed nearly 5,700 employers across the U.S. and in neighboring countries.

The uptick largely is due to pent-up demand in hiring left over from the recession, increased turnover as employees feel confident enough to leave jobs and continued corporate growth, said Phil Gardner, director of MSU’s Collegiate Employment Research Institute and author of the report.

“I think we’re going to see a couple years of aggressive hiring”
