At the Fountain.

One of my favorite musicals is the Sweet Smell of Success. Its broadway running starred Brian D'arcy James and John Lithgow. The music was masterfully written by Marvin Hamlisch and the story was based on one of the best film noir films of the same name.

It was a work of art.

The main metaphor used was an old Hollywood legend. Lana Turner. She was always well-turned-out. So when the talent scouts saw her on that fateful night at Schwab's Drugstore, she was ready for her life to begin.

She was waiting at the soda fountain.
