When survivors of the earthquake in Nepal are suffering from lack of supply of adequate relief materials, it is alleged by the UN that bureaucracy at Kathmandu airport was holding up vital relief supplies for survivors and as a result relief material was piling up at the airport instead of being ferried out to victims. So, the government of Nepal must loosen customs restrictions to deal with the increasing flow of relief material and avoid bottlenecks.
Peacetime customs methodology should be avoided at Kathmandu airport.
