Acid Rain

Rain is primary need for us. However, when it turns to Acid rain, it becomes hazardous to us. When pollution increases in the environment, the acidity of the rain increases that ultimately harms the lives. Lower the ph, higher is the acidity. Ph of the acid rain is about 5.5. Due to volcanoes, a great amount of acid deposition takes place. However, more often than not the combustion of fossil fuel. In the combustion of fossil fuel, Sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide is unconfined.  Acid rain formation is a result of number of interrelated process and chemical reactions. Reaction of nitrogen and sulfur oxides with wetness in the atmosphere forms acid rains. Precipitation of these gases takes place with the outward appearance of sulfuric and nitric acids. The acid rains crop up when oxides of sulfur and nitrogen come in drop a line with water. Acid rain increases the decay possibility of the building materials. Due to high acidity of water, oxides are formed on the metals, which are a kind of damage of that metal. Fertilizing power of the soil also decreases with the high acidity.  Growth of the trees and the forest is also restricted. Technical solutions, International Treaties and Emissions trading are the only Prevention method.
