A few days ago we were shocked when a rape accused in Dimapur of Nagaland was dragged out of the jail by a furious mob and then beaten and lynched to death. The police report claims that it was not a case of rape and the sex was consensual. Just a week after it, a 22-year-old youth in Agra has been beaten to death by a mob for his alleged indecent behaviour with a girl in a drunken condition.
