Amplified Eye

This film is pure experimentation with technique. Continuing my obsession with Trapcode Mir, I became aware of a technique called amplitude mapping. This involves mapping patterns and textures to an animated surface and controlling the parameters that create movement. The end result has a certain cybernetic feel to it, at once familiar yet also alien looking. Undoubtedly this piece has a preoccupation with movement and colour. While earlier films I have uploaded to Film Annex have much lengthier explanations, I think that the ambiguity of this piece in many ways speaks for itself. I hope you enjoy.
