And Now My Final Thought...

Posted on at

In the end the crewing was very valuable, I gave me an insight into a world that I had no real insight into, that of the production side of an experimental film. I had my input and say on many a film, I will see my name in the credits and swell with pride.

But what will I take forward into the future? Well treating your crew well, when I am the level 6 and I have level 5's under me, I will treat them well, as I know what it was like. I will also give as many of them who want it the opportunity to work on my film, as again I know how tough it is to get the spots in the crew and I don't want anyone to miss out as I nearly did.

From a practical stand point I learned a lot about a professional set, how it works, the importance of having many assistants for all the roles, having back up plans on to of back up plans and the most important of all keep calm under pressure, something that I often need to learn.

So those are my thoughts, this might not be my last blog but it should always be seen as me summing up a conclusion, a final thought and a summing up all rolled into one.

I wasn't a blogger when I stared and I'm still not but hell, I'm a lot better than i was and maybe that's what I've learned most from the blog, how to write a half decent blog.
