"The Daredevil in the Mold" is episode thirteen of season six of Bones, the forensic drama television series loosely based on the novels and life of anthropologist Kathy Reichs. In this episode, a BMX biker is found on a warehouse roof mostly consumed by mould.
Booth is Going to Propose to Hannah
Sweets and Booth are in a bar drinking, and the former is talking about Daisy and that he's thinking of proposing to her (again). When Sweets says he doesn't want to end up like Booth, still not married, Booth says that he's going to propose to Hannah.
A Body Consumed by Mould
The next day, Booth is feeling more than a little under the weather. They have a body on the roof of a warehouse in the Navy Yard, or what's left of it. The flesh has been completely eaten by mould. The evidence suggests that the victim fell onto the roof - there's a dent - and the body was then dragged away behind an air conditioner by someone else. However, there is no sign as to how they got onto the roof in the first place.
A Dead BMX Biker
The victim has a lot of broken bones - over 100 - only most of these weren't related to the cause of death, as they date back a few years. That is still a lot of broken bones. Using the mould, and a bed bug found in it, Hodgins decides that the victim was probably a BMX biker. To determine what actually happened the mould needs removing from the bones.. This leads to a track where the victim is identified by some of the other riders. He was apparently trying to get sponsored and was doing stunts jumping from building to building on his bike. Another biker had designed a ramp to do this, but it wasn't ready to be used yet. The ramp was not at the scene. Nor was the, valuable, bike. In order to find the bike, Booth asks for Noel's help again.
Recreating the Scene of the Accident, Or Murder
The bike is found but the person who has it, despite being more than a little dodgy, says he found the bike between two buildings at the Navy Yard. Cam and Brennan want Angela to recreate what happened to the bicycle whilst they do the same for the victim, to see if the victim was murdered or whether the death was accidental. If it's murder, what was the motive? The sponsorship or something else?
Fisher is back and he's drinking herbal tea and listening to waves to keep him calm.
