British-era Bridge collapses in Maharashtra.

A British-era bridge on the river Savitri built more than seven decades ago in Mahad town collapsed on the Mumbai-Goa highway in Maharashtra late last night due to heavy rains. Two buses and several vehicles are reported to have plunged into the river near.  Over 20 people are still missing after the tragic incident. Around 80 rescuers and divers have been sent to the spot. A Chetak helicopter has also been launched by the Coast Guard to help search for the missing vehicles. India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured all help in rescue and relief operations.
