The first set of Second leg of the Quarter finals were played last night for two names in the Semi Finals of the Champions League. Dortmund facing Real Madrid at home while Chelsea entertaining Paris Saint German at Stanford Bridge, Real Madrid, all four teams are one of the biggest teams in Europe. Real Madrid won the first leg of the tie against Dortmund 3-0 and were favorite in the tie as well as in the competition, after spending more than 150 million pounds in the summer and bringing a manager of the top quality Carlo Ancelloti, Real Madrid are favorites both in domestic league and in European Championship. First leg of the tie showed real class and quality of the most expensive squad in the whole world as Real Madrid punished Dortmund 3-0, there were low hopes for Dortmund in the competition before the match as both teams have a real difference in class and quality. The other tie is was between Chelsea and PSG with PSG labeled as the favorite team to go through to the Semi Final stage, PSG hit much improved and very powerful side of Chelsea under the so called the best coach in the world “Jose Mouniho”, the first leg performance was disappointing as number Chelsea big names failed to assert their quality over PSG stars.

There are not many in numbers, the greatest comeback in the world, Chelsea faced a challenge of winning the tie and saving any dignity and status of Premier League in Europe as biggest team of France was nearing big wining against the 2012’s Champions. Mourinho opted for Willian in the attack partnering with Eto’o, Oscar and Frank Lampard, though PSG had a great first leg of the contest but still there were hope from Chelsea fans and critics that they can overturn the score and overturn the whole result of the game. PSG having huge advantage in the contest were hopeful of progressing to the semi finals as French champions and the domestic League leaders were as well hopeful that the class of Lavezzi, Cavani and Thiago would be more than enough to go to the Champions League. Match started with Chelsea soon losing their best player in Eden Hazard who was then replaced with Shurrle but Chelsea still doesn’t lost its hope of winning the tie.

Jose Mourinho’s game plan was looking short until the 30th minute when Shurrle scored the goal on 32nd minute starting the real comeback of Chelsea in the tie, PSG manager Laurent Blanc was hoping for progressing to the Semi Finals of the Champions League as the tie was still in the hands of French side, However in the 87th minute Demba Ba scored another goal taking Chelsea side back to the contest. The comeback from Chelsea was so great that it took every fan in the stadium and probably watching at home off their seats in celebration.

The win should be enough to reignite Chelsea’s confidence and revive their hopes of returning into form in both domestic and European competitions. Chelsea’s previous few result had been disappointing as they surrendered the lead in Premier League and were set to crash out of Champions League, however this win is so much special that it can boost the morale of the team going into the final stages of the Champions League. In another match Dortmund entertained Real Madrid at home, after losing the first leg heavily their hopes of progressing to the next stage was narrowed and there were almost no or little hope coming back into the tie. Christiano Ronaldo missed the game and all the responsibility fell on the shoulder of Gareth Bale and Luka Modric the other big names of the team.

Illarramendi was given the chance as Real Madrid marched on the field with confidence of progressing into the Champions League Semi Finals. However, Lewandowski, Reus and company destroyed Real Madrid with Reus hitting the net two times and reviving the hopes of Dortmund progressing to the next stage of the competition. The most astonishing things about the match was Dortmund’s two quick goals in the first half and BVB brought a score out of madrista fans. The Semi Finalists are decided the Champions League looks more beautiful and interesting with two of the biggest teams in Europe progressing in the competition.
