A British cricketer Bavalan Pathmanathan, aged 24, who was appearing for Manipay Parish Sports Club (UK) in division three of the British Tamil League on Sunday at Long Ditton in Surrey, south-west of London, was struck in the chest. There were attempts to resuscitate him and he was treated by air ambulance doctors and crew. But it was announced Wednesday that the player has died.
