Don't Hurry Up Kid

Posted on at

You're growing too fast... Seems yesterday I was carrying you.

You're so tiny, and  just learning to walk.

Now you're walking and going anywhere you like to go...

I can stop you, you're running and sometimes hard to find.

I want to follow you, and guide in every path you take but you're growing too fast...

You have your own mind, you're uncontrollable.

You're hurrying; you like to follow your own will and desire,

You're leaving me behind, forgetting me who teach you to walk.

Don't hurry up kid,

Enjoy your youth and teen,

Someday, when you're strong enough I'll just look at you and will set you free.

As of now let me walk with you, let me guide you, together we will face life's challenges.

Let's enjoy our younger years, while I am also young and can walk with you.

Soon I'll be tired and you can walk alone on your own.

As of now don't hurry up kid.
