Slardar is a mele Strength Hero, having low cool-down spells and high physical damage to take out his enemies. He is good at initiating a fight, as well as ganking the enemies at any stage of the game. Slardar is one of the most powerful heroes in Dota that can be used as a durable, initiator or a ganker, but above those abilities Slardar has a unique ability to track the units, especially invisible heroes.

Slardar’s first ability; Sprint, provides him more movement speed but making him vulnerable to damage, while his second ability; Slithereen Crush provide AOE stun while making the effected enemies movement and attack speed slow by a fraction. Slardar’s third ability; Bash gives him a chance to deal extra damage and stun to his enemies.

Slardar’s ultimate; Amplify Damage is his best ability, that is used for dual purpose; tracking any enemy, especially invisible heroes and for reducing the armor by a huge amount making the enemy hero vulnerable.

By combining all of his abilities together and a suitable built, Slardar can crush any enemy in the late games, making him a perfect choice to be picked if opponent heroes are invisible or tanky in nature.
