As many as 1.25 lakh ex-servicemen from the Gorkha regiments of the Indian Army, who are at present living a retired life in Nepal, have now been roped in for rescue operations.  A spokesperson of Defence Ministry of the government of India claims to contact all the ex-servicemen from the Gorkha regiments and the response from them is positive. So, the rescue operations will surely be stepped up in the quake hit country.
