Frozen Watermelon Lemonade

Posted on at

-1/2 seedless watermelon, peeled and roughly chopped
-3-4 handfuls of ice
-2 scoops Country Time Lemonade powder
-1/2 to 1/4 a can of San Pellegrino Limonata

Optional: You can definitely use real lemon juice in this recipe rather than using the powdered lemonade drink mix. To use real lemon juice, you’ll want to make lemonade by making a simple syrup with two parts lemon juice to one part sugar. The powdered mix is definitely a short cut.

Directions:
Peel and roughly chop the watermelon. Blend the watermelon in sections. In a strainer, separate the watermelon juice from the thick watermelon pulp. In your blender, add a few handfuls of ice, watermelon juice (just eyeball it…no exact measurements), a few scoops of the lemonade powder, and 1/4 to 1/2 can of the Limonata. Blend until smooth, and serve right away. Add slices of watermelon rind and slices of lemon for a decorative drink topper.

The limonata gives it a nice sour tangy taste. Definitely sweet and sour, and perfect on a hot day. I hope you try it! Happy Summer!
