Because I wanted so much to get my foot into the veterinary profession and because I have to wait a year to get into the veterinary medicine program, I decided to look for a veterinary technology online program that I can do for the meantime. I found several programs that are available by distance learning. Today, I am trying to apply to at least three program that will start in January 2015.

Since we are in Germany and I don't know how volunteering works here, if I needed to speak the local language to do that, is subject to my investigation. I did find an animal shelter in Berlin that according to their website will allow volunteering. Yesterday, I tried to call the phone number but nobody answered. But I won't stop calling them until they can tell me I can volunteer having no knowledge of German language. I am trying to learn the language and I should be able to learn this before the end of the year. Or I need to find a place where English is also a spoken language. I can't wait to volunteer a few hours a week.
