India stands second in the queue of World’s Largest Populated Country. There are 29 states and 7 Union Territories and each of the states and territories has their own traditional food and different way of making their own food. In fact, food of one region may actually be very alien to a person from another region. The common string that runs through most Indian food despite the fact that the use of various spices to generate taste.

Indians take their cooking very seriously. Food preparation is consider as an art and Indian mothers as a rule begin to educate their daughters about cooking and pass down family recipes. Mealtimes are essential occasions for family to get together. In a lot of Indian home, food is made from fresh ingredients, some family purchase their preferred type of wheat, then takes it in to a flourmill. To the western mentality, India is apparent as largely vegetarian country. However, this is not necessarily true. In India there are different types of caste, that’s the reason there are both vegetarian and non vegetarian population.

As far as food is concerned, India can be divided into four parts. Each area has several states in it and each state its own distinctive food. East, West North and South. All the parts have their different taste and different aroma.
