Jugni (2016 film)
Jugni is an upcoming Indian romantic musical film written and directed by debut filmmaker Shefali Bhushan. The movie deals with the a music composer who travels to a village in India in search of a man with a golden voice. The term 'Jugni' is a double meaning. It's literal translation means 'female firefly', while its meaning in the context of music refers to a narrative device commonly used in Punjabi folk music in which an outside observer comments with humorous and sad remarks on occurring events.
The film is a traditional musical which is being composed by Clinton Cerejo and consists of contributions from several acclaimed Indian film composers including Vishal Bharadwaj and Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman. The film is being distributed by PVR Pictures and is set to release nationwide in India on January 22nd, 2016.
Plot
Vibhavari (Sugandha Garg) is a budding music composer and she hopes to break into the industry soon. However, her next music project requires a soulful golden voice, one which Vibhawari discovers as belonging to a man named Bibi Saroop (Sadhana Singh). Bibi lives in a remote village in Punjab, India. The search for his voice becomes a must for Vibhawari as her homelife with her boyfriend starts to take a toll on her dream of being a successful composer. Vibhawari travels to the village in search of Bibi, and along the way, finds obstacles, insights, and lessons on the personal relationship between composers, singers, and their music.

Though there are not any big stars in the film, still it has few very talented stars whom you will love to see at screen and their acting as well. As the movie does not contain any big names so it is not expected to collect a good number at Bollywood Box-Office collections. Still the story of the movie can be good. But, there does not seem to be any hopes of good response at Box-Office.
The movie ‘Jugni’ has been directed by Shefali Bhushan. All the production work has been done by Shashwat Arora, Shefali Bhushan, Karan Grover and Manas Malhotra. We don’t think that you have heard of any of these characters ever in your life. Similarly, the star cast of the movie is also not the one whom you have heard of so much like Sadhana Singh, Siddhant Behl and Sugandha Garg as well. Sugandha Garg will be playing the female lead in the movie, whereas Siddhant Behl will be seen in male lead of the movie. Sadhana Singh will be seen playing a supporting but strong role in the film.

Let us now go through the story of the movie ‘Jugni’. Jugni word here is used for the female lead of the movie i,e. Sugandha Garg, who is a open heart girl. She is presented as a music composer in the movie, who is going to work on her first Hindi movie project. But, something happens in between that forces her to leave the city and then she moves into a village, where she finds a lady Bibi Saroop. The lady Bibi Saroop has very nice hold on her voice and the girls Vibs thinks that Bibi is the one she was searching for. But, then fate has something to do in between, which causes so many problems for her and the rest you will see in the movie.
Let us tell you that the movie ‘Jugni’ is supposed to be released on 22nd of January 2016. It is just a few weeks left for the movie to hit the screens. But, the movie does not seem to take hold over Box-Office so long. We give the trailer of the movie ‘Jugni’ a very below average rating. There is nothing that can excite you to watch the movie and spend you money on.
