Karutha Muthu or black pearl is a soap/serial on Asianet channel which is becoming very popular nowadays.

Asianet is a popular channel in Kerala, the southern most state in India. 

It is aired all over the world though the language is Malayalam.

STORY LINE

The story is about a good doctor who is cheated by his colleague and he think he is infertile. He is dejected and ends up marrying a dark skinned girl who is shunned by her stepfather. They are happy together till the girl becomes pregnant and after which his colleague incites him against her and he suspects his wife of infidelity. 

She runs away. The story then leads to a scene five years after where her fil discovers her and her daughter who is seen begging near a temple because she is now an invalid. 

He rescues them both and takes his grand kid to his house where his son, the kid's father does not know who the little one is but loves her immensely. 

The story is so far now but might take turn for the worse when the evil female friend of the doctor might harm the kid too. Hope the soap ends quickly. 

 

Note : I do not watch these soaps but my mil narrated the story to me when I was taking care of her.
