Kasol is an aesthetic village in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. This exotic place is located in the valley of Parvati, on the embankment of the River Parvati, on the route from Manikaran to Bhuntar. The Kasol village is nearly 42 kms away from the eastern side of Kullu. It is perched at an elevation of around 1640 meters above the mean sea level. Kasol has been divided into two parts New Kasol and Old Kasol on both parts of a bridge.

A Perfect Holiday Destination

Kasol is a perfect place for spending vacations in the midst of nature. This village has an open area by the embankments of the River Parvati, where the travelers can spend their leisure time. The river flourishes with trout & is the ideal spot for angling. Though, forest department’s permission is needed for fishing inside the river. The River Parvati is also perfect for water rafting.

Kasol has been recently changed into a center for travelers, who are fascinated to the picturesque valley, unharmed hills, less population and excellent climate all through the year. The Kasol village has also become a base for trekking in Himalayan region to the Pass of Sar, Yanker, Pin Parvati and Khiriganga. Travelers from Israel are quite ordinary in Kasol & the banners in Hebrew language can be seen all through the valley. In the Kasol village, the shops have clothes and food of western culture. Only 1 school is there inside the village having classes unto 7th grade. The closest college to Kasol is at Kullu.
