Lawrence of Arabia star dies aged 83.

Actor Omar Sharif has died at the age of 83. He was best known for his roles in classic films like Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago. He was an Egypt- born actor who was born on April 10, 1932 and began his acting career in his native land in 1953.  Sharif Sharif's first English-language film was in the role of Sharif Ali in David Lean’s historical epic Lawrence of Arabia in 1962 which rose him to stardom as an internationally recognized actor. Throughout his acting career Sharif played a variety of characters and won many international awards. Earlier this year, it was learnt that he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. He suffered a heart attack in Cairo on Friday and later died in a hospital.
