If you ever travel to Mumbai I suggest you to try a local transport of Indian Railways called LOCAL TRAIN between 8.30 am to 11 am or between 7.30 pm to 11 pm. And you will see world’s busiest rapid transit system. Mumbai  Metropolitian Region is spread over 289 miles, and it is divided into 4 routes Western, Central, Harbor and trans harbor. The daily count of commuters is approx 7.6 million. The trains are overcrowded in peak hours the time which told you before to travel. Services of these trains are a) It has a ladies coach (car) specially reserved for ladies. b) There are trains divided in Slow, Fast and Super Fast. Slow trains are not slow but they stop at all stations that the reason it got name slow. Fast trains skip some station and super fast train skips more stations than fast. c) There is reserve coach for handicapped people too.

These trains are overcrowded in the peak hours and it is a major issue for the safety of the travelers. In a normal 9-car train, there are approx 4600 commuters. Government of Maharashtra is trying hard to keep travelling safe for commuters. Mumbai LOCAL Trains are also called lifeline line of Mumbai.
