You can make more money, but you can not make more time"--Unknown

I have been living and being guided with this line. Read it somewhere else, not sure if this is from one of the books that I have read before, but I have kept in mind what the quote meant.

Time is very important to me, I treat it more than just gold, maybe a platinum, so I have always set time on everything that I do. Let us just say, they are on "schedule".

But it is not always work-related.

If my siblings are around, I make sure I spent more time with them, for it is not always that they are here, and with that, I have to do some of my work ahead of time. Family comes first to me with regards to spending my time.

For a long time, I have been depending with my phone with regards to checking the time if I am outside or in the office, and I want to stop my so called "dependence". I want to have a real watch that I can wear, and choosing the RIGHT ONE has been a "quite process". And also it will be a gift to myself at the same time.

What you choose also chooses you"--Kamand Kojouri

The process of choosing.

Having the specific brand on my mind, checked everything on line, the price, color, have taken considerations. With the bonus that I received, I told myself, this one is fine, yes, I said "fine", not "great" or even the "best", having self doubt with the choice I will be about to make.

I asked my niece if she can recommend something for me, with the watch that I have been checking, what is the best among what is on the list, maybe she felt something about my decision and suggested a certain brand, a brand that I have never heard of until that day.

What did I do is checked what is about the watch, why my niece suggested it. And the price is lower than the one I have been keeping my eyes into.

Finally, I said this is the one.

The one.

The brand that I have chosen is Daniel Wellington, but what is Daniel Wellington?

Daniel Wellington is founded by Filip Tysander. The story is, Filip Tysander was on his trip to British Isles, he met a man with impeccable yet unpretentious style, more than being interested with his story, Filip was more interested with the watch the man was wearing, a vintage old, weathered NATO straps, and the man's name is DANIEL WELLINGTON.

Filip Tysander was inspired with the watch, created his own line of watches, hence the name of watch Daniel Wellington.

Knowing the real versus the fake ones.

Before clicking that checkout, I have went through some process again. I have done some research with regards with the watch, and some might be doing the same thing, have the "eye" to see an authentic or real and fake watch.

Yes, fakes ones are on the market, they are much cheaper, though some have this small price difference, it is up to checking more where to buy the authentic ones, can not take wasting my money, best of being a frugal.

And here are some of the things that i checked.

1. Crown. The watch's crown should be arch and bigger.

2. Logo. The log should be on the center and not close to the index.

3. Hands. The hands should not be too long and the smaller hand should have this small gap from the index.

4. Backside. The backside should be curve and the logo should be engraved.

5. Straps. The initials "DW" should be engraved.

Isn't better to check and compare before buying an item? Being wise on spending, and not spedning more time on regrets on buying something. And I order my watch through their site, and it took less than a week to have it delivered into my door. Nobody wanted to be cheated right?

You are creating through your choices, even now. Choose wisely"--Bryant McGill

My review with Daniel Wellington.

I have been wearing the watch for less than 10 months now. And so far, I am loving it. And here are some that explains why.

1. What I love about it is its minimalism, so straight forward for me.

2. Interchangeable straps. Yes, you can change the straps, be it leather or NATO strap. When you wanted to go with leather straps, you can, or your mood wanted you to wear NATO straps, you can go ahead. Having just one watch, but feels like it can go more because of the "stylish" thing on it. By the way, when you buy the buy, there is this small "tool" that will help you in changing the strap.

3. It is clean and slim. It feels like it is neat to look at on my wrist.

Did it meet my expectation?

YES!  It did that I even bought two straps and saving an amount just to buy another watch.

And as of now, I am thinking of it as an investment.
