Marvel Released New Netflix ‘Jessica Jones’ Trailer

Posted on at

Running at about 2:35 seconds, Marvel’s new trailer for the Netflix exclusive, Jessica Jones, looks dark, somewhat disturbing, and pretty badass in general. What we know from the previous trailer is that the overall story is about Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) dealing with some bad things she was forced to do by Kilgrave, or “Purple-Man” (David Tennant), through his mind control capabilities. Watch after the jump.

Jessica Jones is a former superhero who becomes a private investigator, and that seems like how Marvel and Netflix are going to follow her story. The trailer looks really good. It has some of that ‘dark and gritty’ tone that Netflix’s Daredevilbrought us and that’s necessary since the characters are going to come together later on in The Defenders.  Purple-Manalso sounds like he’ll make another interesting villain with an opportunity to prove to be very dangerous.

Luke Cage (Mike Colter) will appear in the show alongside Jessica Jones, but I don’t think they are married yet. Perhaps like Netflix’s Daredevil funeral episode, we’ll see a special wedding episode in Netflix’s Jessica Jones? Although it may not really fit the mood the show is going for.

As well, Daredevil (Charlie Cox) is rumored to make an appearance in Netflix’s Jessica Jones. It’ll be interesting to see if he’ll only have a small cameo or if he’ll have an episode or two teaming up with Jessica Jones. Either way, it doesn’t seem difficult at all to imagine a private investigator and a lawyer wind up meeting somehow, so the cameo should play out naturally.

Knowing Marvel and Netflix are crossing Daredevil with Jessica Jones, I like to wonder if he’d need her help against or with the Punisher (John Bernthal) in his own Season 2.

What some are wondering is if Netflix will go ahead with bringing in Iron Fist (no casting available) into his own series after all. Rumors are suggesting that Punisher may end up joining The Defenders, which would imply that Daredevil andPunisher will end Season 2 as allies. If the rumors are to be believed, Netflix’s Iron Fist is in trouble.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS NEW TRAILER FOR NETFLIX’S JESSICA JONES? AND HOW WILL DO YOU THINK IT WILL MERGE WITH THE OTHER NETFLIX SERIES? NETFLIX’S JESSICA JONESCOMES OUT NOVEMBER 20TH EXCLUSIVELY ON NETFLIX.
