Vin Diesel May Have Finally Confirmed Role In Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’

Posted on at

Around the time Marvel signed Vin Diesel on as the voice of Groot in Guardians Of The Galaxy, there was already plans to give Diesel a second role. And when Marvel announced they were planning Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’ movie, many fans, including myself, had speculated that Diesel would be perfect in the role of “Black Bolt“, the leader of the Inhumans. Here’s a quick summary about why that’s perfect.

First, Diesel’s a popular action movie actor. Having him signed to a multi-picture contract and not having him really do much more than repeat “I am Groot” over and over again almost seems like a waste of a decision.

Secondly, GotG only used Diesel’s very distinctive voice. Giving him a role like Black Bolt, a character who can’t whisper without possibly leveling a city, would work perfectly. And apparently, Kevin Feige and Diesel already know it too.

IGN got to interview Diesel and the Inhumans movie came up in the conversation:

There has yet to be any concrete confirmation that Diesel will indeed play Black Bolt in the MCU, but he does tease it with a silly “audition”. But what’s really important to take away from the interview is this little hint:

It would be… put it this way, when Kevin Feige started talking to me about… who would ever think? A voice for one thing and presence for another would be pretty genius – it’d be pretty genius.

Yes, it would be! Feige and Diesel have talked about it and it sounds like Diesel is totally interested in the idea!

Thirdly, this isn’t the first time Diesel has teased about his involvement in the Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’ movie. He’s posted this on Facebook:

A couple months later, he posted this:

At this point, his involvement in Marvel’s ‘Inhumans‘ scheduled to be released in 2019 is all but confirmed. His role is still technically a mystery however, I think it’s safe to say we’ve found the Inhuman known as Black Bolt finally.
