A massive fire broke out between 1:30 and 2 am on Tuesday at the Central Ammunition Depot at Maharashtra's Pulgaon, which is India's one of the biggest ammunition depots and is about 110 km from Nagpur. The fire has killed at least 17 and injured 19. The casualty figure is expected to rise since several others have been injured critically in the accident. It is reported that one shed at the ammunition depot caught fire. While the main fire has been extinguished, officials have not ruled out secondary fires and explosions. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to look into the cause of the fire. Sabotage has not been ruled out. Citizens of the villages close to the depot have been evacuated for safety.
