People's Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti said that for lasting peace in region the footsteps of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee should be followed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that so far have not found a single signal which show that the center is serious about Jammu and Kashmir. Mahbooba was expressing thoughts on the program organized to welcome congress leader Vinod and Nitish Mahajan in the party in Jammu on Monday. PDP chief said that Vajpayee had laid a firm basis for resolving the Kashmir issue. It was expected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go ahead with this mission but do not feel like it. India, Pakistan ceasefire was the result of foresighted thinking of Vajpayee. She said that it was the time when the two countries were on the brink of war. After Kargil War and the attack on Parliament's efforts also led to friendship. However, getting on the firing range she said that This opportunity is not of shelling but of conversation so that both sides people can be rehabilitated with the right kind. She said the shelling is giving nothing but injuries to the people. In 2003, even before the ceasefire on the border situation was bad. Now again the same circumstances.
