Hi! Its me making a blog again and today's free writing topic is "Monday".

Why do people hate Monday? Its the day we all come back to WORK! After the weekend where most relax let loose and shake of the previous week's stress. For most people going back to work means going back to the daily grind that they do to win the bread. It is a means to an end.

I find the most people, specially in the Philippines find themselves working various jobs they don't particularly like. They didn't study for it or worse they don't have a passion for it. They find themselves in that particular job simply because it was available at the time they applied, most likely they weren't even qualified to do the job. Most even go through an OJT (on the Job) period of training. It is really hard to love your work when you do not have a feel for it.

The situation is even worsened by the idea the we have so many graduates who take up a second degree in order to apply for a better job. Add to that family and peer pressure to study fields that the person is not even interested in. We have nurses that study to become doctors and vice versa simply because the international demand has shifted to another. We have education graduates working as sales clerks, and commerce grads as secretaries.

The end result is we keep on hating on mondays when what we really hate is going back to a job we don't like. What we need to do is to find a way to get a job we love a daily "grind" so to speak. Find a way to live a life that aint so grindy, I bet mondays wouldn't be so bad.
