The NBA has announced that it has made a new TV deal with various TV stations. The deal is for 9 years and 24 billion dollars. It will take effect in 2016. This means that the salary cap will increase. Now all the contracts will increase, including the league minimum. I think this is good for teams like my Lakers who have the money and are willing to spend. This will allow them to overspend on players that other teams can't afford. This is not so good for small market teams, but that's what the draft is for. I'm hoping this means much more success for the Lakers.
