This is the oldest Shrine in Japan which defies The God Oyamazumi , elder brother of Amaterasu - Okami of ISE SHRINE .

The sanctuary is at the centre of 32,400 square meter garden covered with camphor trees , natures memorials of an age three thousand years ago .

This shrine is also a treasure house of Japanese national important cultural properties . For example , artistic armour , swords  and mirrors of each era of Japanese history .

About eighty percent of the armor of Japan in now kept in this shrine .

The ISLAND OF GOD , OMISHIMA , has kept in its atmosphere of an ancient era . The white sand mountains are like symbols of DIVINITIES and INFLUENCE visitors with sublime scenery .
