Praiseworthy move taken by the US.

Temporary protected status (TPS) granted by the US allows a group of foreigners to remain in the US after their visas expire. The US on Thursday has announced to grant temporary protection status to the Nepal citizens who are at present residing in the US on a humanitarian ground. The Nepalese would be allowed to stay in the country while Nepal recovers from devastating earthquake and aftershocks. Those who would apply over the next six months will be covered under the programme until December 24, 2016. Eligible nationals of Nepal residing at present in the US can now apply for TPS and receive work permits. It is a noble move by the US which would be welcomed by all.
