Presence of A Specific Protein Can Lead To ( Heart Attack )

Elevated levels of Low Density Lipoproteins or LDL cholesterol is the primary reason for which a person becomes prone to sudden heart attack and this in fact leads to coronary heart disease when found in blood stream for a long period of time. A lot of research is in progress to find out every possible reason that contributes to a heart attack and one of the latest factors which seems to be a chief concern is a special type of protein.

This protein is scientifically termed as PCSK9 and it is believed that the excessive presence of this protein stimulates the LDL in blood and the increased level of LDL causes the heart attacks in patients. The study done on many patients who underwent a heart attack showed that PCSK9 was noticeably high in their blood. However, it is not fully clear if PCSK9 levels are increased before or after a heart attack or before and once its found out then I feel that a lot of people can be saved by putting a check on their PCSK9 levels in blood.
