introduction :
In this blog i am going to write some information about shugran and siripaye. Shugran is the lush green platue covered with grass and surrounded by alpine trees while siri and paya are the two meadows which r naturally furnished with grass and herbs and some wild flowers.

Location:
at the distance of about 61 km from mansehra there is a village named KIWAI. From kiwai one has to leave the main road and follow a road the steepness of which gradually increases upto shugran. Shugran is about 10kms from kiwai and is at the height of about 2362 meters from sea level.. siripaye are the meadows which are some 9 km uphill from shugran.and are at the height of about 3000 meter from sea level.
routes and ways to go there:
One can goto kiwai via hiace or coaster either from mansehra or balakot. the total time taken is about 1.5hr to reach kiwai. From kiwai either you can goto shugran via jeep or through hike. jeeps are available for shugran as well as siripaye from kiwai. If someone want to do the trek on foot then he can do it by following a steep small way which is present at the back of one ov the market in kiwai.From shugran one can hike upto siripaye .
Fairs of jeeps :
all depends upon your ability to negotiate with the driver. Some drivers take 3000-4000 Rs while some can charge you upto 5000. time taken upto shugran is half an hour and upto siripaye is 2 hours from kiwai.
via hike :
if any one do hike from kiwai then he has to pick the route which locals use to goto shugran. the total time is about 3 hrs upto shugran and 3 hours from shugran to siripaya.
something about shugran:
as i told you earlier that shugran is a green platue above a hill top. this presents a beuytiful site to the eyes of the beholder .. on east side there is standing mighty MALIKA PARBAT while in North there is present MUSA KA MUSALLA PEAK while in south there is present MAKRA PEAK.. this provides a spectacular view . you can take as many pix here as possible :) . shugran is something like a basecamp where hotels are available at reasonable cost which again depends upon your nigatiation ability . some hotels charge 700rs per night while some charges as much high as 10,000 per night. if you want to goto siripaye then do spend a night over there and then leave for siripaye in the morning. let me show you some views of shugran.

Something about siripaye:
siripaye are the meadows situated at something 10000 ft from sealevel. to reach there you have to go either on foot or by jeep. if your going on foot then leave early in the morning . from the back side of the alpine tree hotel road to siripaye starts. on going this you will have to walk almost for 3 hours to reach siri . Then from siri you have to hike for one more hour to reach siripaye. There present a small lake at siri and one small pound on paya too .. the trek is fully covered from upside by alpine trees while trek faces the kashmir side most of the time. The trek provides the best sightseeing and is a great oppurtunity for the photographers to take the photos of the natural beuty of the area. At one side of the paya meadows there present MAKRA PEAK while on the very opposite there present MUSA KA MUSALLA.. one can trek to makra top from paya which takes almost 3 hours of hiking.
now i think i have written many words so now its time to see the beuty of the nature.
