Staying Fit - Internally & Externally !

Posted on at

Staying Healthy & Strong - Internally & Externally is a very much possibility for sure with an organized fitness plan.

I have been practicing Yoga & Martial arts since last 20 Years.Im 32 now.I have learnt the ASTANGA YOGA from a traditional yoga teacher & learnt Martial Arts (KARATE) from my father.I often undergo Weight training as well. When we get older our body undergoes various changes it may lead in lack of Interest in more Physical Activity.Naturally we all earn money so hard to save for our old age,but many of us fail to understand that to cope up with all age related issues like Diabetes , Heart Ailments , Hyper & Hypo Pressure we need a rotuine of fitness activities.

Many people think going to gym & lifting weights will keep them staying fit.But in contradiction we miss a point that we can train external muscles but we cannot train internal organs completely in hard physical activity. All we need is YOGA , which is the best & natural way to induce acitivity in internal organs.

Asanas ( Yoga Poses)performed in Yoga strengthen the internal organs.Traditional Yoga practice recommends that we should not strain or force our body to achieve perfection in a Yoga Asana ,if we should train regularly without hurry it will be achieved eventually by perseverence.

Acrobatics , Aerobics & Weight workouts can strengthen our external muscles to a great extent without any doubt. But when we grow old we will end up with Knee Pains etc.,due to heavy strain we imposed on our ligaments during our young age.Hence it is wise to have both Yoga & Weight workouts in our fitness plan.Yoga stretches the Spinal cord , muscle fibres & tissues of internal organs,it gives activity to many portions of our internal organs which normally we cannot achieve it in our normal physical activities like running , walking , squatting , Jumping or Acrobatics. It is evident that many of the body builders undergo Heart surgery & strong Knee Pains when they become old.The breathing routines being followed in yoga called PRANA-YAMA strengthen our Lungs & keep us looking like a youthful personality.

Staying fit means we must stay fit Inside ( Internal Organs) & Outside ( Strong Bones & External Muscles).
I have seen few people who perform Yoga just like Aerobics without any rhythm or slow movements or without following any rules.
We cannot say that activity as "YOGA",It is merely some Aerobic activity which will improve their flexibility and burn more calories.

Yoga means "uniting mind & the body".A proffessional yoga teacher never teach asanas instantly within a week,he always preach the philosophy behind Yoga practice which is following the necessary niyama's (rules). In this electronic & fast world though we cannot follow all the rules ,still we can try to adhere to few which is really possible.
Staying Clean , Early to bed & Early Rise , Consuming Vegan food , Minimising excess conversation , Avoiding spicy food , Controlling excess lust , staying away from alcohol & Smoking and the last is sleeping full 8 hours are the main rules.Prime concept is controlling our five senses is highly recommended for effective benefits.

In alternate days,YOGA & Weight workouts/Martial Arts can be Practiced and we all can stay healthy ever.
