Talking Cheap with Anderson Cooper!

Posted on at

Being frugal clearly has its perks as I recently appeared on “Anderson” as a guest for a show about saving money. It was a celebration in frugality as Anderson takes a shopping trip to Costco, while money coach Clark Howard provides the dos and don’ts of discount shopping. Anderson also speaks with several coupon clippers like me and as we provide viewers with real, practical, money saving tips! Having the opportunity to meet Anderson Cooper was one thing, but meeting a frugality guru that I’ve always looked up to was a whole other! Clark Howard, author of “Living Large in Lean Times,” was there to give his expert advice on brands to buy as well as where to get the best deals. During my segment, Clark offered some great ideas for couples that live on a budget. The more money you save together, the more you have to spend on fun nights out together. I couldn’t agree more and encourage all couples to be more fiscal minded, so that they can afford to spend quality time with each other. Aside from meeting other coupon-clipping friends like Kayley and Wes from Cha-Ching on a Shoestring and April of TLC’s Extreme Couponing, everyone on set that day received gift cards from Living Social. Living Social is a great place for daily deals on the best local experiences your town has to offer! On the show, viewers had the chance to win a “Cooper’s Coupon” for $10 Deal Bucks!
