The Cebu Taoist Temple

The Cebu Taoist Temple is found in Beverly Hills Subdivision in Cebu City, Philippines. The sanctuary was constructed by Cebu's considerable Chinese group. With a height of 980 ft above ocean level, the sanctuary is a towering, multi-layered, multi-toned fascination open by three different slowing down. Not at all like the neighboring Phu Sian Temple, the Taoist sanctuary is interested in the admirers and non-admirers indistinguishable. A custom among aficionados is the place one petitions the divine beings to give one's wish. The custom incorporates washing of hands, going inside the house of prayer unshod and dropping two squares of wood. In the event that the squares of wood are both face up then one could make a wish. If not then it is not yet the time for one's wish to be allowed and one needs to go to the sanctuary some other time.  The sanctuary is the focal point of love for Taoism, the religion which takes after the teachings of the antiquated Chinese rationalist, Lao Zi. An alternate custom among Taoist aficionados, which is carried out amid Wednesdays and Sundays, is the moving of its 81 steps to light joss stays and have their fortune read by the ministers. The door to the sanctuary is an imitation of the Great Wall of China. The sanctuary incorporates a church, a library, a keepsake shop and a wishing admirably. The extensive galleries offer a beautiful perspective of the downtown Cebu.
