It's both exciting and inspiring to know that finally, an educational facility will now be opened exclusively for artificial intelligence! The Mohammed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) will open its doors for students in September 2020. What is more interesting is that though the university is based in Abu Dhabi’s Masdar City, yet the influx of applications came from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Egypt, India, and China.

WHY DO WE NEED TO LEARN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE?
For several months of creating content and conducting researches about AI, I get acquainted with three types of people. The first group is composed of those who are excited about AI, second, those who fear AI, and lastly, those who do not know about this new technology.
The rising popularity of artificial intelligence in various fields is creating different impressions from various sectors of the community. While a few are on the lookout on its full implementation, many are quite apprehensive about it.
Bitlanders is one of the early adopters of artificial intelligence. With their educational platform, Bitlanders AI Social Lab, individuals are given a chance to learn about artificial intelligence in various ways. The company is also offering assistance in building intelligent chatbots through its platform, Querlo which provides access to AI tools from Microsoft Luis and IBM Watson.
Here's a statement from Bitlanders showing their mission of providing free AI education for people:
BitLanders mission is to provide free education to people about Artificial Intelligence, access free tools like Querlo, to build Conversational Artificial Intelligence solutions and chatbots. BitLanders uses The Buzz Score, its patented rewarding and ranking technology, to rank the best users and provide them exposure to business and academic industries.
WHY DO WE FEAR CHANGE?
While many are still unaware of this new technology, there are some people who are expressing their fears. This can be in the form of losing jobs, privacy concerns, and fears of robots taking over the world.
These fears are baseless and far from happening. Artificial intelligence was designed to help humans in one way or another. There are many ways that artificial intelligence can help us. We are on the brink of technological advancement and we are living witnesses as to how technology helped us in our daily lives.
Communication is the first major technological advancement that helped us in many ways. Isn't it a good thing to know what is happening on the other side of the world in real-time? You see, technological advancement is just one of the many inventions that we are benefiting in various ways. And now, here comes artificial intelligence.
AI EDUCATION IS THE FOUNDATION OF KNOWLEDGE
We can never know the importance of a certain thing unless we devote our time to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills. As a writer, exploring the field of artificial intelligence, I am grateful to Bitlanders AI Social Lab for allowing its members to have access to a platform where members are given a chance to learn artificial intelligence.
If given a chance, I myself would also be willing to attend MBZUAI and further my knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence.
Thank you for reading.
