Today is 8th May. The World Health Organization (WHO) has set this day of May each year as the International Thalassemia Day in order to raise awareness of this disease, and to prevent its transmission. The day is also dedicated to both commemorate the thalassaemia patients who are no longer with us and to convey the message of support to all those patients who are alive and fighting every day for their right to a better quality of life.
Today- it is about the International Thalassemia Day.
