Why I do, what I do...

Life isn't easy...it doesn't matter how much money you have, how famous you are, or what you social standing is. There will ALWAYS be something that makes each persons life hard, its never the same from one person to the next, and should not be something that is compared to anyone else struggle.

For my family, it is a combination of things...I have a son with Autism, a daughter with anxiety, and we live in poverty. Not because we don't try...my husband works very hard to support us, and even though it might make finances even tighter, we came to a mutual agreement that I would be a SAHM as long I could be. After all, why work a second job, if all it was going to do was pay for daycare?

Plus, being a SAHM means that I am available for the needs of my children. Still, I wanted to contribute to the household...more than just cleaning, cooking, and tending to our children. I wanted to help with the finances; then I saw an article about blogging, and being a product reviewer, and I thought to myself, I can do that!

I would be making a little money here and there, plus, I would get to test and keep things that we needed and otherwise would not be able to afford. In my mind, in was a win-win situation. Don't get me wrong, it takes a lot of work, more than I think people realize, but after a little trial and error, I am making it work.

Now, I can cover the electric bill on my own, credit card payments are covered, and I am bringing great stuff into the house. Stuff that we use on a regular basis. We still live under the poverty line, but now we aren't as far under it, and my husband can spend more time with us.

We have always been a close knit family...our kids are 3 and 7, and have never had a babysitter; we prefer to do things together, all of us as one. Blogging has made it easier to do things as a family, and I wouldn't change that for anything. Thank you blogging community, because you have shown me the way, and it can only get better from here!
