Women's History And Their Empowerment

Posted on at

Throughout the history, women have been tortured in Afghanistan and they were not even being counted as human beings. Many of new born girls were buried alive and they were counted as a shame for their families before Islam was revealed. Men were burying their daughters alive even when the one who gave them birth was a female too, not all of them believed that girls are a point of shame but some had to bury their lovely girls just because of the society and their cultures. Women were not allowed to study or get a job and they were treated as animals and their rights were spoiled.

Taliban who claim to be Muslims brought back the image of torturing women by burying them alive but as they were drifted out of the country women’s empowerment and development started. They were given the right to work outside home and be a part of developing their society and now they are taking part in educational, economical, social, political and every other states of our country. The other way to empower women is providing the opportunity and letting them show their talents in music, film making, blog writing, sports and online advertising.

Throughout the decade women’s educational state has been changed in a better way, plenty of schools are built for girls around Afghanistan which is a very important step for empowering women and helping them be responsible in many social matters. There are projects such as Women’s Annex and Afghan Development which aim to empower women in every aspect of life and are successful until now. Many women have been under thousands of tortures and those who are aiming to help them are real human beings.
