"Shrek Forever After," the forth franchise in the series, arrived four years ago seemingly forever and ever.  But now, we may see a fifth movie in the franchise as explained by DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg.  He told Fox Business Network, “I think you can be confident that we’ll have another chapter in the Shrek series.”  And he promised that, “We’re not finished, and more importantly, neither is he.”

The CEO has credited the first "Shrek" movie as the one that defined DreamWorks Animation.  The franchise has amassed a huge $2.9 billion worldwide!  

I love the "Shrek" films, especially the first 2, so if DreamWorks Animation does it correctly, the fifth should be a great one!  And pssst, please no prequels or spin-offs although "Puss In Boots" was a delight!
