Hello!

I hope you are in good health. The last couple of my blogs were of the book review of how to win friends and influence people. In this blog, I'm going to discuss the review of the book 177 Mental Toughness Secrets of the World Class: The Thought Processes, Habits, and Philosophies of the Great Ones. Well, I cannot discuss every one of them briefly in one blog, but I'm going to divide them in a couple of blogs and discuss with you briefly. Steve Siebold, who is the author of this book, is one of the greatest mental toughness coaches in the world. For years the author has met world-class business-mans, athletes, and people from different careers and he has discovered these mental toughness secrets which have also helped me a lot in my career.

Secret number 20-29

Secret 20: The great ones poses supreme confidence

One of another, great traits of the great ones is that they possess supreme confidence. They have absolutely no doubt that they cannot succeed in any area of life. The reason they possess this kind of confidence could be many, but two of them are majors. One is positive self-talk and second is public speaking. Positive self-talk always keeps you motivated and inspired, because the most influential person for anyone could be his own self. The second one, which is public speaking is considered to be the greatest way to boost confidence because masses do believe anyone who can come in front of thousands of people, must have supreme confidence in himself.

Secret 21: Champion evolve from competing to creating

IMAGE CREDIT TO haider-ali-nasir-77 VIA Canva

Great ones have no competition with anyone, unlike upper-class who like to compete with everyone. It is because the supreme confidence champions have in themselves is the reason why they don't compete or compare themselves with anyone. The reason they don't break down under pressure is that they don't compare themselves and they don't have to do anything to win the competition.

Secret 22: Champions remember their roots

Champions know where they came from or how much they struggled to get where they want to be. That is the reason why they are sympathetic with average people who are struggling to become champions. This is the reason why the champion is made to be the greatest manager, coaches, and teachers. While upper-class see it as a disgrace to remember where they came from.

Secret 23: The world-class never bow to criticism

IMAGE CREDIT TO haider-ali-nasir-77 VIA Canva

Champions know that if we track down mental toughness to its roots, it means emotional mastery. Champion know that at any point in time, they would be criticized by the average people because they want to make them feel as same as they do. Champion know that the only way to handle criticism is to get used to it. While average people become emotionally wounded when faced with criticism.

Secret 24: Champions believe in choice

                                         success

IMAGE CREDIT TO haider-ali-nasir-77 VIA Canva

Champions know that where ever they are, no matter what they do, it only a matter of choice. Unlike average people, who trap themselves in a mental prison, that they are helpless. They live on their lives believing they have no choice. While champions think completely opposite. They know the job that sucks for them, they have chosen it for themselves.

Secret 25: The world-class embrace metacognition

                                             success

IMAGE CREDIT TO haider-ali-nasir-77 VIA Canva

Champions know that they alone can control their thoughts. Their beliefs are formed on the things they believe. Champion only use the beliefs that motivate them to perform at a higher level, they immediately change the limited belief they have, that keep them anchored.

Secret 26: Professional performers don't require immediate compensation

                                   success

Champion have beliefs knowing that nothing good comes quickly, all the great things come eventually, not immediately. Unlike middle-class or average people, who need instant gratification. Champion know everything comes in its right time.

Secret 27: Champions embrace conflict for growth

                                              success

IMAGE CREDIT TO haider-ali-nasir-77 VIA Canva

Champions know that conflict and adversity are the only things that can cause a growth of a person mental toughness. While average people try their best to avoid conflict or they would do anything to avoid conflict and then complain they don't grow.

Secret 28: Champions are comeback artist

                                           success

Average people when faced with setbacks and adversities, tend to give up pursuing their goal, the same is not for the champion. Little setback and adversities might setback a champion. They would always come back on pursuing their goal.

Secret 29: The great ones are master of their work/rest cycles

Champions know how much they need to work and how much they need to rest. Champions know that if they overwork and keep on stressing their mind, they have to spend longer time resting from emotional burnout. Champions know that they have to keep both side balanced, they don’t have to work too much, not they have to rest too much.
