Heavyweight Judo has always had the characteristics of being purely slow, full of power and lack technique. At the New York Open Judo team tournament, Germany's Dominik Gerzer demonstrated as a heavyweight not only is he big but also has technique. At the young tender age of 23, Gerzer displayed a classical left side standing Ippon Seionage ( one arm shoulder throw) on Italy's Nicandro Buono.
